Biography

Professor Mahasin began her career milestones when she obtained her Ph.D. in Education, Hull University, UK; a master's in Family sciences and consumer studies, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA; and a bachelor's in Family education and social work, Khartoum University. Recently she achieved the status of Senior Fellow (SFHEA), UK, 2022 which has provided an excellent platform for her career advancement. Currently, she is holding a position in the International Relations Unit and an instructor in the Applied College at Princess Nourah University (PNU), KSA. Throughout her career Professor Mahasin has been an academic and a researcher in the fields of family education, curriculum development, and community service2+6. After been conferred Professor status she offered a consultant job at PNU in the Deanship of Development and she appointed the head of the department of research, scholarships & consultancies. She founded the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL); built a bilingual five-year strategic plan to operate the center; and conducted multiple staff development key training workshops. Also, she founded the Initiatives Development Unit and launched eight academic and research initiatives. To vitalize CETL she built collaboration with the American University-Beirut; the Center of Excellence- Seattle University, USA; and Singapore University. Later, Professor Mahasin held a consultancy position for the Deanship of Community Service & Continuing Education at PNU. There she founded and headed the Applied Community Research & Studies Unit. Professor Mahasin is the co-founder of the Chinese Language for Business Diploma. Additionally, she is assigned the program manager of the Human Resources Diploma program through which she taught many HR and research subjects and supervised huge students' research projects. Previously she took a job as the head Department of Curriculum & Instruction at college of education at Taibah University, she established a family education graduate program; taught most of the courses; supervised enormous master's and Ph.D. theses and dissertations; and contributed to huge viva discussions. When she appointed as a member of Graduate Studies Advisory Board she initiated a joint supervision program for female graduate students with Manchester, Shuffled -Hallam and Leeds universities. Also, she is a key founder of the annual scientific research forum. Moreover, she established the Teaching Practicum Unit and constructed microteaching labs. Within her scholarly approach in research, Professor Mahasin published immense papers. She is the author of the book entitled "Stimulating Creative Thinking in Women Research and Studies", (2022); and the co- author of the "Guide of Studying in the United Kingdom", (2012). She developed enormous guides and manuals in research, teaching & learning, initiatives, and sustainable development. She is a reviewer and member of editorial board for many journals. Along with her prolonged research and academic experience she partook massively in building developmental matrix and constructing agreements with different organizations. She has been awarded recognition from reputed organizations such as San Roque Research Institute, Santa Barbra, CA and the Islamic University, Malaysia.
