Biography
Am director of Shaman PR. I was educated in Saudi Arabia where I studied sociology at King Saudi University. I later worked for the British Council, for whom I was responsible for establishing and running a Women's Centre. My proudest achievement at the centre was the key role I played in sending almost 5,000 students and professional women to study and explore the West. Since moving to the UK, I have worked with several NGOs including liaising with different agencies and NGOS to implement policies and establish a rehabilitation centre that combat human trafficking. I also worked on a voluntary basis with the British Council on an award winning project which encourages young people to undertake voluntary work. I have recently launched and established a community based group, Sharman PR which works with families from all backgrounds who face challenging issues that limit their ability to contribute productively to society. We provide a signposting service which empowers these families to initiate positive change in their circumstances and build confidence in their own abilities to explore their chosen career path. For the past five years I have also been a trustee for the Sickle Cell Society.
