Biography

Dr. Nadir Yousif is a civil engineering consultant and academic with dual Canadian-Sudanese nationality, based between Sudan and Canada. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London (1996), and has over 35 years of experience in both academia and professional practice. Dr. Hassanein is the Managing Director of the University of Khartoum Consulting Corporation (UKCC) and founded the Khartoum Center for Technical Consultation and Resources Development (KCD). His expertise spans structural engineering, concrete durability, environmental studies, and feasibility analysis.

He is also an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Khartoum. Dr. Hassanein has contributed to Sudan’s engineering sector through national and international projects, including infrastructure and environmental audits. With over 15 publications, he continues to advance research in civil engineering. Dr. Hassanein is dedicated to fostering local capacity and promoting sustainable development in Sudan and beyond.
