Biography
Reem Elhussien is an environmental specialist, with focus on climate change, sustainable development, WASH, and food security. She graduated from Khartoum university zoology science with specialisation in Ecology in 2014. Volunteered with the red crescent society from 2011 until 2013. Completed a master of science in environmental resource management from Btu cottbus, Germany in 2018. Worked as a research assistant in the REDD+ Program Sudan with the Sudanese environmental conservation society. Then worked as a program Coordinator with the society. After that she was the program Coordinator at the UNESCO COUSTEAU ECOTECHNIE CHAIR-UCEC SUDAN, and recently she became the international Coordinator at WASD, MEKEI and Sudan Knowledge. interested in climate change, migration, displacement, and sustainable development in the global south countries and the middle east.
