Biography
Wasike David is a development economist, researcher, and senior lecturer with over 20 years of experience in policy analysis, strategic planning, and institutional development. He currently serves at the International University of East Africa and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration at Uganda Martyrs University. Wasike has led and contributed to high-impact projects with organizations such as the World Bank, DFID, USAID, and UNICEF. His work with the SDGs Tracker Project is focused on building local capacity and strengthening data ecosystems to monitor and accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With deep expertise in governance, education, health, and livelihoods, he supports evidence-based decision-making across government and civil society. He is fluent in English, Swahili, and Russian, and is passionate about driving inclusive, data-driven development across Africa.
