Message from the President on Vaccine Requirement

Dear Stockton Community,

A vaccinated campus is critical for a vibrant, safe, and healthy learning environment and workplace.

Today, the University is mandating that all SFT employees (faculty, faculty librarians, and professional staff) be vaccinated before September 1, 2021, and has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Stockton Federation of Teachers Local 2275 (the Local Union), and the Council of New Jersey State College Locals, AFT, ALF-CIO (the Council) to set out the terms and conditions of that mandate.

Stockton is also requiring that all Managers and TES (temporary) employees be vaccinated by September 1, 2021.   All affected employees were notified of the requirement and the process via email on July 29.

Stockton University previously announced in May that all students enrolled in the fall 2021 semester must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 subject to a medical or religious exemption pursuant to State and Federal law.  Students are reminded to submit their vaccination data to the university by Aug. 1.

This is one of the most important steps we all can take to protect ourselves and each other. It is, as I said in May, the responsible thing to do.

Best regards,

Harvey Kesselman,
President
Stockton University
