Biography
Dr Amir Elginaid is the Principal Design Leader for the United Kingdom’s new‑generation nuclear power programme, overseeing the structural and main civil works for reactors across West and East England. He leads the delivery of complex, safety‑critical engineering programmes within highly regulated nuclear environments, ensuring uncompromising standards of governance, assurance, and public safety. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of West London, contributing to the Civil Engineering School’s advisory committee and strengthening academic–industry integration. An internationally recognised, award‑winning structural engineer, Dr. Elginaid is a Chartered Engineer (UK) and Professional Engineer (USA), with specialist credentials in NEC contract management, PRINCE2 Agile project leadership, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies, and Civil Information Modelling (CIM). With over 25 years of global experience across nine countries, he has led major nuclear, rail, bridge, energy, and urban development programmes, consistently delivering high‑assurance, innovation‑driven engineering solutions.
