Dr Azzam Ahmed (University of Glasgow) UK

Dr. Azzam Ahmed is an Associate Professor in Textile Engineering at the Sudan University of Science and Technology and a Visiting Researcher at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK. He earned his PhD in 2015 from Donghua University, China, with a focus on textile composites, and later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hunan University (2019–2022) in the College of Civil Engineering. His research focuses on fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, with a particular emphasis on their mechanical behavior, durability, and applications in enhancing the strength of concrete and improving structural performance, as well as the use of finite element modeling and experimental testing.
