Biography
Dr. Shahzad is peace-centred development Researcher and worked in UK, Europe and Asia with special focus on Sustainable Development. She has worked in UKRI-funded Prosperity and Peace Pathways Project at the University of Greenwich, UK. Her academic journey includes a recently completed research fellowship on cascading disasters, compound risks, and vulnerability of critical infrastructure in the context of climate change at the Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction, University College London UK. Dr. Shahzad has also held the position of Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at the leading public Universities in Pakistan. As a prolific researcher, She has made substantial contributions to her field, published over 40 peer-reviewed research articles and 20 book chapters with leading academic publishers. Dr. Shahzad has worked with researchers and scientist in USA, UK, Norway & India; also presented her research at more than 50 national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars. She gained recognition as a Fellow by the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk of the Chinese Association of Science and the United Nations DRR.
