Biography
Yuan Yuan Watkis is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Loughborough University with a strong interest in sustainability, innovation and practical SDG implementation. Her work spans energy systems, climate modelling and building performance analysis, with experience using analytical and data driven methods to support decarbonisation projects. She has supported operational and technical roles at large international events, including the FINA World Swimming Championships, where she worked with high profile teams, coordinated logistics and created structured frameworks to support complex workflows. Yuan Yuan brings a strong combination of analytical ability, technical awareness and organisational skill, along with experience in event facilitation and cross cultural collaboration. She is passionate about bridging engineering, technology and sustainability to support real world progress towards the SDGs. She currently volunteers with WASD, contributing to conference organisation, technical coordination and on site support for the International Sustainability Conference.
