Michael Quarshie (University of Energy and Natural Resources) Ghana

Michael Ayikwei Quarshie is a lecturer of financial accounting and entrepreneurship at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Sciences, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana. Prior to completing his Master of Commerce MCom (Accounting), degree at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, he received his bachelor’s degree in BEd. (Social Sciences), thus, Accounting major and minor in Management and Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He went on to work as a professional teacher at the Nkroful Agricultural Senior High School, Ghana, and worked as an administrator at the School of Graduate Studies, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana, and the African Federation of Institute of Internal Auditors and a student accountant. He is equipped with the ability to grow and maintain positive relationships with friends and colleagues, strive to keep a positive attitude, and have the ability to learn quickly. Quarshie's research interests are in the area of financial accounting, environmental and corporate social reporting, taxation, entrepreneurship and enterprise management, entrepreneurial education, and public sector accounting.
