Biography
Dr. Santiago is a Full Professor at the Management and Organization Department (MOD) of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVR-COB) of De La Salle University (DLSU), which she now serves as Dean. She earned her Doctor of Business Administration from DLSU. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. Her research interests include human resources management, leadership, higher education, sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Her articles were published in several journals such as the Family Business Review, The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher, Energy Policy, Electricity Journal, Philippine Management Review, and the International Journal of Education Policy and Leadership. She has contributed many chapters to published books such as “Entrepreneurship and Sustainability: Business Solutions for Poverty Alleviation around the World” and “Father-Daughter Succession in Family Business: A Cross-Cultural Perspective” to name a few. Santiago is renowned for her professional practice that includes being a Managing Director for Total HR Solutions Inc. An expert in Human Resources, she was a consultant for numerous organizations such as Eastern Telecommunications Philippines, XL Steps Management, Amrop International, International Communications Company, and Bayantel. Part of her full-time employment experiences includes being part of Tahanan Mutual Building and Loan Association, ZMG Ward Howell International, Globe Telecom, and SGV & Company. She was also part of the Office of the President of the Philippines from 1987 to 1992. Part of Santiago’s leadership in professional organizations includes being the current Head for Research and Publications of the Philippine Academy of Management. She is a member of various institutions as well such as the National Research Center of the Philippines, the International Family Enterprise Research Academy, the Entrepreneurial Educator’s Association, the Family Firm Institute, and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2011, the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) recognized Dr. Santiago’s chapter authorship in the NAST Outstanding Book.
