Biography
I am a Master of Public Health (MPH) student at the Imperial College London, specialising in Global Health. My current research project (MPH thesis) is exploring the prevalence and determinants of the triple-burden of malnutrition among adolescents in India, with use of secondary data from the National Family Health Survey. I received my bachelors degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Westminster. My undergraduate research project was titled: 'The roles of social media, clean eating and self-esteem in the risk of disordered eating: A pilot study of self-reported healthy eaters’. On completion of my MPH, I intend to expand my work on eating behaviours to a global level and pursue a career in academic research. My further interests are behavioural economics, food insecurity and the influence of the food and social environment on nutrition-related disease. My research is driven with the intent to inform policy that addresses all forms of malnutrition across the globe.
