Biography
Michael Benedict Yamoah supports corporate sustainability and analytics efforts at Bechtel Corporation, an international engineering and construction company. In this role, he helps direct the implementation of Bechtel’s sustainability strategy across the enterprise and into major projects. Michael leads the design and integration of data analytics to enhance Bechtel’s decision processes on sustainability. He also manages a portfolio of global issues and policies, including climate change, adaption, and conservation. Prior to Bechtel, he worked for the Natural Resources Defense Council—a leading advocacy NGO focusing on international climate issues and natural resource conservation. He also worked for the Asian Development Bank in the Philippines on sustainable transportation policies, and the World Bank in South Sudan on a fisheries project. Educated in the United States, Africa, Asia and Europe. Michael holds a BA in International Affairs and Business Administration from Carroll College, and an MA in International Development from The George Washington University with an emphasis on energy, resources, environment and sustainable development. He is currently a Doctoral (PhD) candidate at the University College London.
