Biography
Professor Saad Twaissi is a distinguished scholar specializing in Periplasmic Arabian history and archaeology. He earned his PhD in Archaeology from the University of Bradford, UK (2005). From 2005 to 2016, he served at the Department of Archaeology, Petra College for Tourism and Archaeology, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in Jordan, where he acted as Dean (2010–2014) and held the UNESCO Chair for Tourism and Sustainable Development (2011–2016). Since 2016, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Tourism and Heritage at the United Arab Emirates University. Professor Saad Twaissi has represented Jordan in key UNESCO and WIPO meetings, supervised numerous archaeological field projects, published over 25 peer-reviewed papers, and serves as a reviewer for several international journals, contributing significantly to the field of Near Eastern history and archaeology.
