Biography
Dr. Tufail Syed, MD, MBA, is a physician, clinical researcher and higher education entrepreneur with over two decades of international leadership across medicine, pharmaceutical research and education. He began his career in clinical research and endocrinology/metabolism, contributing to high-impact publications before taking senior roles with Eli Lilly, Medpace, Fortrea/Covance and Q-Pharm, where he led clinical operations, central laboratories and regional drug-development programs across Asia-Pacific. He later transitioned into higher education, founding James Lind Institute in 2009 and Rushford Business School in Switzerland in 2018. Today, he leads institutions serving learners globally through programs in public health, health administration, business and management, with a focus on employability, international partnerships and scalable digital education. His work connects medical science, industry practice and higher education innovation.
