Biography
Dr Dababrata Chowdhury (Daba) is currently a Reader in Digital Entrepreneurship at Canterbury Christ Church University, UK. He was also an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Director of Middle East Research Centre (MERC) at UCS. He graduated from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Hacettepe University in Turkey and completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and PhD at Plymouth Business School. His PhD work involves examining the importance of Knowledge Transfer and Networking to the development of SMEs in Turkey. His teaching interest is International Business, Management Information System, Entrepreneurship, Knowledge Management and Digital Marketing. His research interest is small and medium-sized business development/growth in new product develops with collaborations (Networks-Knowledge Transfer) and adoption of new technologies. He can speak and communicate with Bengali, English, Turkish, Urdu, Azerbaijani and Hindi languages. He is a member of five professional organisations, including the British Academy of Management (BAM) and The Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE).In addition; he is a visiting professor for Canakkale OnsekizMart University in Turkey and International IT university and Kazakh-British Technical University in Kazakhstan. Dr Chowdhury is a Chief Editor of the Journal of Contemporary Development and Management Studies, editorial board member of the Journal of Global Strategic Management (JGSM) and an Editorial Journal Board member for the newly established Review of Enterprise and Management Studies (REAMS) at UCS.
