I have bachelor’s degree in environmental science from American University of Sharjah and master’s degree in urban planning from the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. I am a successful Environmental & Sustainability Expert with the ability to drive corporate and public efforts and strategies to protect and preserve the natural environment through applying specialized and expert insight into policies and legislation, to promote continued sustainability in all spheres, while consistently remaining updated on improved practices and systems. With over 20 years of progressive experience and niche expertise in the environmental and sustainability domain and advocating for solutions that serve both a local and a global purpose.

I started my career as a Senior Environmental Officer in the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, where I gained and then provided extensive insight into environmental and sustainability themes, supported, Secretary-General, and the Secretary-General Office Team. While fulfilling this role, my efforts were recognized, after which I was awarded a secondment with the Emirates Wildlife Society as an Ecological Footprint & Sustainability Specialist. I then received an appointment as the Section Head of Environment Policy & Research with the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, whereby I formulated strategies, engaged with government stakeholders, and guided a team of Specialists to build a culture of continued knowledge sharing and growth. Due to government restructuring within the organization, I transitioned into the role of a Team Lead and now I am an Assistant Advisor, where I currently continue to promote sustainability and environmental guidance and expert advice in all government projects to decision makers of Abu Dhabi government.
